Can I get a book/journal article from a Library outside Birmingham City University?

0

Books or journal articles not held within Birmingham City University Libraries can be requested from other Libraries through the Inter-Library Loan scheme (ILL). We will do our best to obtain the item for you, but we do need as much detail as possible in order to trace it. A form is available at the Enquiry Desk or counter for ILLs. For copyright reasons you must also ensure that you sign the form. Inter Library Loans cost your faculty at least 6.00 for articles and 8.00 for books, therefore please ensure that you really need the book/article in question before ordering them. In certain cases you may be restricted to the number of ILLs you can order. Please bear in mind that ILLs will take, on average, 2-3 weeks to arrive, so give yourself plenty of time when ordering. Certain Faculties restrict the use of ILLs to final year undergraduates. If this is the case within your Faculty it will be explained to you at your Library induction.
