Can I get a Bell Expressvu (satellite) signal facing north?
Not really, The southern facing point for most satellite systems is that way cause it will follow the satellite itself as the satellite orbits, pointing it north you may be able to catch some of the signal but it will be intermittent and problematic. What you need to do is find out where the cable room is for the building, If the cable room is on the roof of your building, You can have the bell technician install the dish on the roof, pointing south, and then all he has to do is run a line to connect to the cable riser that feeds your apartment. If it is on the first floor, but the exterior wall faces south, you can get permission from the super to mount the dish there and drill your line into the cable room. Alot of apartments do this.. This will however eliminate your ability to have both cable and Satellite. And if your apartment only has 1 riser from the cable, no highdefiniton or pvr either. And I may be wrong but i am pretty ALL satellites need to point southernly.
