Can i get a bank account online , without going to the bank?
Hi Tony, Unfortunately you can’t avoid going to the bank. What you can do is apply for a bank account on telephone banking, it’ll take about 20 minutes over the phone, or you could apply online and full in all your details then someone will call you back shortly. If your application is successful and if your credit rating is anything but awful it will be – you will have to go to the bank with 2 things: proof of identification and proof of address. ID: Passport or driving license. POAddress: bank statement or utility bill in last 3 months. If you’ve already gone through the application process before getting to the bank then it’s a lot quicker – they just photocopy your ID and you sign the terms and conditions form.
