Two Strand Twists style without extensions is not recommended for permed hair. Many clients don’t realize that the difference in textures between permed hair and natural hair makes for a very big difference in the outcome of the Two Strand Twists. With permed hair the Two Strand Twists hair does not stay twisted and the formation is flat and stringy looking unless extensions are added. Whenever a client with permed hair has insisted on getting Two Strand Twists without extensions, they have not been pleased with the results.
