Can I find a hotel room in London to accomodate two adults and two kids?
The typical American hotel room contains two double (or queen) beds, a modern full bathroom, and air conditioning. A family of two adults and one or two children can usually fit into this configuration, perhaps asking for a rollaway bed for one child. It’s not paradise (especially for the parents), but it suffices. For a few dollars more a traveling family in America can stay at an all-suite hotel chain in relative comfort and privacy. This American model hardly applies to the British hotel industry and it is often difficult to find modern, family accommodations in much of Britain. But in London, one possibility is to try a familiar brand hotel like Holiday Inn, Hilton or Marriott. Kids usually stay free with their parents in a typical, American-style hotel room. Some British hotel chains, such as the budget-minded Travel Inn, also have familiar style accommodations in London. But even at brand name hotels, make no assumptions.
