Can I feed my Red-Eared Slider live meal worms?

Yes, you can feed meal worms or any other worms as a treat only. If you feed them only meal worms, they would lack in nutrition (calcium), and the outter hard shell of the meal worms are hard to digest. All live prey, insects, worms, fish, snails, shrimp, crayfish, etc., should only be fed sparingly, once every two weeks. The main diet of a RES should be pellets 2-3 times a week and leafy greens in the tank all the time. Good luck.
