Can I feed my guinea pigs cos lettuce?
Cos lettuce is fine. Kale is better. Despite what you hear on this site, there is nothing wrong with iceberg lettuce as long as you realize that it is pretty much water disguised as a vegetable. If you are feeding a good quality chow with vitamin C, the greens are just for treats because they are getting the C from the pellets. Avoid sugary fruit more than a couple of times a week and try to have some variety, both to give your pig some interest in his diet and to be sure that he likes a variety of things in case the market is out of his favorites.
