Can i feed my 4 week old kitten whiskas in jelly with chicken?
Your kitten should still be being nursed by his/her mother. Kittens should continue nursing from their mother – exclusively – until at least 8 weeks old, for optimum development, nutrition and health. If your kitten has been weaned before this time, I would suggest first consulting a vet before deciding on what to feed her. There are special kitten milk products that are suitable for cats that young, but as with human babies, the best thing for your kitten at that age is her mother’s milk. Also, it is important that when you do start feeding your kitten solid foods, that you give him/her a variety of foods, both wet and dry. Exclusively feeding your cat wet food can lead to premature tooth decay and foul breath. Offering a dish of wet food every two to three days and keeping dry food and fresh water out at all times is an ideal way to ensure your cat is healthy and happy. You can also feed him or her fresh, raw chicken and/or liver once he/she is a little older.
