The WDS repeater function require both side to have WDS function. If your router does not have WDS function, you can’t extend the distance by using a AP with WDS function. The recommendation is to use 2 AP. One AP work in client mode to connect with the wireless router, the other AP work in AP mode. Then connect the 2 APs together using an Ethernet cable.
