For models that use serial cable connections, the maximum length supported is 25 feet. If a longer distance is required we recommend using line drivers. For models that use USB connections, the maximum length of a USB cable is 15 feet. Active USB extender cables, available in most office supply stores, can extend the length up to 1,000 feet.
