Can I export my digital material out of DSpace?
Yes. Currently DSpace has a Item Exporter which supports exporting digital content, along with its metadata, in a simple XML-encoded file format (where each item is exported into a separate directory). See the “Item Importer and Exporter” section of the DSpace Documentation’s System Administration chapter for more details. There are also basic packagers which allow exporting using the METS standard.
