Can I expedite a passport application form that has already been sent requesting only routine service?
This request cannot be submitted by mail nor can you obtain the intervention of an expediting service. The only option is to personally pay a visit to the closest regional passport processing center. You are encouraged to find out the situation of your application before you do this. It may be completed a lot sooner than expected. If it appears that your application will not be processed before your departure date, call up the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778.
