Can I Expect The Same Level Of Service From Russias Aeroflot As From Major Western Airlines?
Despite the lingering stigma of the old Soviet days, Aeroflot Russian Airlines offers the same level of in-flight service to its passengers as western full-service flag carriers. In fact, in some cases Aeroflot’s short-haul meal service actually appears to be better than that provided on many major western airlines. In-flight meals served on Aeroflot depend on the time of day. For economy class passengers, a morning flight would include a cold breakfast consisting of cold-cuts, bread and fruits, while on longer flights a hot breakfast may be served. During the rest of the day, cold meals are served on short-haul flights, consisting of a salad, cold cuts, bread and a dessert. A variety of hot meals are served on long-haul routes, usually including meat, rice or pasta. Most alcoholic beverages are also complimentary, with the exception of sparkling wine.
