Can I enter data into the LawStream demo, and later use that data in my own office when I buy LawStream?
No, you cannot. The inability to use your “demo data” in a “real” copy of LawStream, is due to the fact that you cannot change the firm name, and the fact that you cannot export data from the demo data file to a “real” data file. You can enter the kinds of data you would normally use in your office (including your own clients’ names, your own file numbers, and records of time entries, accounting transactions, etc., exactly as if you were entering them in your own office. You cannot, though, transfer that information into your own data file when you get LawStream for your own office. When you purchase LawStream for your own office, you will receive a fresh data file that will contain information specifically entered by PowerSoft Innovations Corporation for your own business. Once you have that start-up data file (and the live/production version of the LawStream software), you will be able to start entering real data in your office.
