Can I enter an original costume/original variant of a character? What about a Gothic Lolita dress, kimono, or other type of fashion/historical design?
Original costume designs (that are not made 80% or greater of duct tape) are not permitted because the lack of consistent reference materials makes it nearly impossible to judge accuracy. However, you are encouraged to show off your costumes/fashion in the halls. Original designs consisting of more than 80% duct tape construction are welcomed and eligible for submission to the costume contest. However, these costumes are subject to regulations of the dress code and all policies pertaining to this contest. Any costume found to be in violation of these regulations will be disqualified, and may result in ejection from the event unless the wearer changes into a suitable outfit.
