Can I eject my new iPod nano when charging it without installing iTunes?
I’m sure it will be fine if you eject it without pressing any kind of eject button first, just make sure that it is fully charged. Also, iTunes is not the only way to eject it. At least on windows anyway, you can go to your task tray and click the safely remove icon, and safely remove it first. Alternatively, go to my computer, find the icon for your ipod, right click and hit eject. On mac, I am not sure, but it should be similar. If an icon appears on your desktop, you should be able to drag it down to where the trash can usually is, but its icon should now look like an eject symbol.
