Can I eat Datura Flower and stem To Hallucinate?
The real problem with datura (aside from the inherently dangerous delirium) is that there’s no easy way to measure a correct dose. 1g of flower in one plant may be equal to 5g in another, so it’s not hard to go off the deep end. On this note, Benadryl/diphenhydramine can be harder on the body but is much more straight forward and will result in comparable effects above 200mg. It should go without saying that you shouldn’t do either unless you know what you’re doing. As for taking it, you can steep one flower (a typical dose) in some warm water to make tea or you can eat it straight. You should probably discard the stem.
