Can I earn a second Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan?
Students must receive permission from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to pursue a second bachelor’s degree. At least two calendar years must transpire between the awarding of the first baccalaureate degree and the beginning of the second bachelor’s degree. Students must pursue an academic program significantly different from that of their first baccalaureate degree. Except in the case of joint degrees, the College does not award concurrent bachelor’s degrees. For graduates from schools and colleges on the Ann Arbor campus, the two baccalaureate degree must be different (for example, not two Bachelor of Arts or two Bachelor of Science degrees). A second bachelor’s degree cannot be a BGS degree and students whose first degree is a BGS degree are ineligible for a second bachelor’s degree. Applicants who already have an LS&A degree must earn at least 30 credits in residence in LS&A beyond the credits required for the first degree, with at least 15 credits in the new field of concent
