Can I drop balloons on a specification (or another type of document) in the right-hand window?

No, DISCUS does not currently support dropping of balloons on a specification. There is one key difference between the two viewing panels – the ability to mark up the document. Whereas the Spec Panel (the right-hand panel) allows documents to be viewed and requirement images to be created reflecting the content of these documents; in the Drawing Panel (the left-hand panel) grid lines can be drawn over top of documents, balloons can be dropped, leader lines created, etc. as the characteristics and features are identified. Traditionally, documents that are to be ballooned are to be opened in the Drawing Panel while supporting reference documents (i.e., specs called out on the drawing) are opened and viewed in the Spec Panel. This results in a side-by-side display of drawing features and requirements from additional complementary documents. Image requirements identifying content from a document opened in the Spec Panel must belong to a parent balloon / characteristic located in the Drawin
