As a teen, you should know that drinking is illegal. But if you’re going to drink, you should not have more than one or two drinks at a time. “The reason is because the alcohol and medication together could irritate your liver and make you sick,” says Jeffrey Stark, MD, who is associate professor of clinical pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and director of the Children’s TB Clinic at Baylor.
