Can I drink alcohol at eight weeks pregnant?

I think all these answerers need to take a chill pill. It is actually ok to have the odd glass of alcohol during pregnancy. There AREN’T actually any definitive results to say that the odd drink harms the baby. What could harm the baby though, is excessive drinking. In a recent study, it was actually found out that babies born to mothers who drank moderately were better socially adapted, more intelligent and calmer: http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/… They are not sure if it’s because those women are naturally more relaxed people, from a middle-class background, or if there’s some sort of antioxidants in the alcohol (preferably red wine) which benefit the baby. I think if you have one glass of wine (even a spritzer – white wine and lemonade mixed) it won’t make a bit of difference to your baby.
