Can I donate more to MS Society? Is the workshop fee tax deductible?
You can certainly donate as much as you want and support our efforts to help those with MS. As for the tax implications, I am not an accountant — but here’s the way I see it. I’m putting on the workshop as a free “thank you” to people that donate to MS Society. When you “register” you’re making your check out to MS Society. The “registration fee” is really a “suggested donation”. So, given all that, I would think that it should be tax deductible…
