Can I donate blood when on medication?

The requirements vary from country to country (and sometimes even from site to site within a country). As a type 1 on insulin, for instance, I am eligible to give blood in the US, but not in Canada. You’ll have to check your local regulations for this information. In theory, the people who would be taking the blood should be able to tell you, but it’s not uncommon for volunteers to be uncertain and say “no” just to be safe, so you should probably double-check with an on-site nurse or other professional if a volunteer says you’re not eligible.

I think you can donate blood, but like someone said, call Red Cross first.
