Can I do masters in psychology without having a bachelors degree in the said field?

My university has a masters and PhD program in psychology, and is one of the easier ones to get into – they get 150 applications a year and take about 15 people. These programs, even low-ranked ones, are very competitive. Many will require the subject GRE test in psychology (which you really need to have done a major in to get a decent score) and even lower-ranked programs require at least 18 credits in psychology (about a minor). Without any background coursework, you really don’t stand a chance of getting into a graduate program, and you’d be lost if you could – they don’t start over at the beginning. What you could do is a post-bacc program in psychology – this takes about 2 years and covers all the psychology you missed so you can get into a grad program at the end.
