Can I directly stick tiles on a cement and sand walls?

How long ago did you render the walls?you should really wait until the sand/cement render has cured (6 weeks)because it can shrink and if you put on your tiles too soon this shrinkage can cause the tiling adhesive to fail and that’s not ideal if that amount of time has passed and your ready to go ahead then I’d give the walls a coat of pva primer that is specified by the tile manufacturer that’s important as using the wrong pva especially in wet areas eg.’ bathroom can cause problems for you, good luck.
