1. You can deposit the check in any account if you have the correct account information. 2. Ask the bank if you can open an account if you set up a regular direct deposit. It just may work. The worst they can do is say no.

Yeah you don’t even have to inform your bank. Just give your mothers details to your employer. There’s no good reason why you cant have a bank account then, its certainly not an issue of age.
