Can I cut and paste bibliographic details directly from databases?

0

In most cases, yes. If you’re cutting and pasting from a web database (e.g. Internet bookshop at http://www.bookshop.co.uk/ or publishers’ own websites) you’ll have to open a second browser window. If you’re using the Internet Bookshop, the ISBN of the book is part of the url in the Netscape location box. If you can’t access an edit menu, remember ctrl-c and ctrl-v will often cut and paste. The library provides access to enterBooks at http://www.enterbooks.com/, the book supplier, Dawson’s online bibliographic research tool. It provides access to almost 6 million titles, growing at around 6000 per month. A range of search options is offered. The necessary username and password are available here or from the Information Centre on level 2 of the library.
