Can I copy my Microsoft Word document and paste it into a Swiftpage template?

Microsoft Word puts in a lot of extra “unnecessary” HTML code that may change the desired formatting in the template or just be incompatible with Swiftpage’s online editor. For that reason, we recommend that if you have copy in a program like Word, you should open up Notepad (in your Start > All Programs > Accessories folder) and then copy and paste your Word document into a blank Notepad document. (A similar program, Wordpad, may also be used.) Then, save the Notepad document as a plain text file (.txt). Finally, copy and paste from the Notepad program into the Swiftpage online editor. This removes any extraneous code and makes your copy completely compatible with Swiftpage’s online editor. If you do choose to paste from Word directly into the Swiftpage online editor, you will be asked if you want to clean up the text. Say “Yes” to clean the text of unnecessary code.
