Can I copy data into the Guides Calculator fields from word processors such as MS Word? You can copy data from word processing software such as MS Word by using the copy/paste function. This will allow you to copy sections such as patient history information or “boilerplate” information and save time by not needing to retype the info. Using MS XP, highlight the text in the document you wish to copy by click and hold the left mouse button and drag your mouse over the text to highlight it. Once highlighted and with the cursor over the highlighted text, right click the mouse button and select the drop-down menu item copy. In the Guides Calculator, place the cursor in the field the text is to be copied into. Click the right mouse button and on the drop down menu, select pate.
