You can actually destroy your video card by doing that. Compressed air from an air compressor is electrostatically charged in most cases and containts water vapor. If you mean “compressed canned” type air then that will destroy it as well since the temperature difference of the cold canned air and the heat output of the chip would cause it to crack/shatter/seperate from its solder points.
