Can I convert US electronic equipment to UK with a converter?

You don’t only need to convert the voltage, but also the frequency. To do this you will need to convert AC (60 Hz) to DC, and then back to AC (50Hz) – and the unit to do that may cost more than the TV. Having said that, some TV’s are now set up to accept variable inputs. Check the back of the TV, if it has a thing that says something like “input 100 – 240v; 50 – 60 Hz” then you can plug it in without a problem. Be aware however, that there is a different color systen in the UK, so the TV (and this is actually more important then the electric supply) must be multi-system or you won’t get a picture.
