Can I convert a gasoline engine to run on straight hydrogen instead of gasoline?
Absolutely! There is an excellent video with hydrogen researcher Roy McAlister showing how to convert a small 5 HP motor for less than $25! The principles and parts are the same for larger car engines as well. You can Google Roy McAlister to find the video and more information. NOTE: Producing enough hydrogen to run your engine from an onboard electrolysis system is quite another story. There are many people that think if they can produce enough hydrogen using the cars electrical system, the car will run for free. This is not true, because no matter how big of an alternator you get, it will always take more energy to turn the alternator to produce the electricity than the energy you will get from the hydrogen it produces. I am a firm believer in the possibility of over unity, but I have yet to see creditable proof of it with regards to electrolysis.
