There is nothing like the charm of antique gas lamps. The elegance of their designs, often with hand blown glass globes, is not often replicated in modern lighting fixtures. Gas lamps are increasingly being disabled because they are expensive to maintain and operate as natural gas prices rise. The good news is there are low voltage electrical conversion kits that can give new life to the fixtures and make them practical to operate when hooked to either a timer or photocell.
