Can I contribute to MilitarySuper if I am on leave without pay?
Yes, in certain circumstances MilitarySuper contributors may contribute during Leave Without Pay (LWOP). Those circumstances include Parental LWOP, Marital LWOP, Compassionate LWOP, and some other forms of LWOP, such as to accompany a spouse to overseas post, or undertake a course of study. An election to pay contributions must be made before the end of the period of LWOP. Contributions can be paid before, during, or at the completion of LWOP.
