Timbuktu Pro is not a proxy aware application. As such, no Timbuktu connections can be made through a proxy server. If you have a firewall, not a proxy server, please refer to the appropriate Firewall Technote for a listing of the ports used by your Timbuktu Pro product: For Timbuktu Pro for Windows: TP32_007: Firewalls and Timbuktu Pro For Timbuktu Pro for Macintosh: TPM_031: Firewall Issues. Error Message: Unable to initiate modem connection This error message usually means that the modem is in used by another application. Exit and shut down the other application that is using the modem. Then, use Timbuktu Pro for Windows. Why can’t I dial out to my Internet Service Provider (ISP) or use the fax software while running Timbuktu Pro This problem occurs because the modem, is set to wait for a call to come in.
