Can I complete my Dalhousie Honours degree at another University?
Yes, you can complete your final year at another University but this requires preplanning and you should start making the arrangements long before you leave Halifax. You meet with an honours advisor to determine what classes you will have to take in your final year; you must still satisfy all the core class requirements. You then get descriptions of these classes at the other University you plan to attend and have them pre-approved as transfer credits by the person responsible for transfer credits in the Biology department. Once you have the class descriptions, your honours advisor will also determine if the university you will be visiting will have an equivalent to the Biology Department’s 4900 class and grade and the 21st credit, Biology 8880. You may be asked to attend special seminars or classes to provide a similar honours year experience as the Biology students at Dalhousie have. Your thesis research and evaluation will be supervised by the visiting University but you may be aske
