As long as you can honestly certify that you are “ready, willing, and able” to work, you may be eligible for unemployment benefits. If you are receiving workers’ compensation benefits, you probably will not be eligible for unemployment benefits. On the other hand, if the your employer is denying your workers’ compensation claim, or is still investigating the claim, until benefits are paid, you should be eligible for unemployment benefits.
