Can I claim income support whilst claiming ESA?
No income support and ESA are the same benefit in theory. Income support is being replaced by ESA as is incapacity benefit. Only old claimants still receive incapacity or income support as it use to be, all new claimants and gradually the old ones are moved onto ESA. Income support will only stay income support for lone parents, anybody getting income support for illness/disability etc will move to ESA over the next few years.
