Hot water systems installed to comply with BASIX (the Building Sustainability Index) for new homes or major renovations, are not eligible for a rebate. If a solar hot water system, heat pump or gas hot water system was not a BASIX requirement for your new home, you may be eligible for a rebate. You will be asked to produce your BASIX Certificate to verify this.
