In emergencies, some database parameters can also be changed online by SAP MaxDB Support. Customers should only use this option after prior consultation with SAP Support. As of MaxDB Version 7.6, database parameters that do not determine memory sizes or the number of threads used can be changed online and activated immediately. SAP employees may refer to Note 817934 for a description of the required procedure.
