In PI 7.1, the Integration Directory offers a new configuration object, direct connection, which enables you to centrally configure point-to-point connections. The benefits of the central point-to-point configuration in the Integration Directory are extended by the central monitoring capabilities, which are offered in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator for PI, for those point-to-point connections.
