You should first check with that specific public transportation office to determine their policy pertaining to passengers who are CHL holders. Currently (as of 01/26/2009) Austin Capital Metro does not prohibit CHL holders from carrying their handgun while riding as a passenger in their vehicles. View Capital Metro website.
