Can I buy any home to receive NSP homebuyer assistance?
No, there are specific homes which are available for sale and that qualify for NSP homebuyer assistance. The City will use NSP funds to buy foreclosed, vacant homes purchased at a discount off the current appraised value. Homebuyers who qualify for homebuyer assistance may purchase only these homes from the City in order to receive homebuyer assistance. These homes may include single family detached homes, condos, 1 unit in a 2-4 unit property, townhomes, and manufactured homes where treated under state law as real estate (not personal property).
