Can i buy a new verizon phone and switch the number over?
Whenever you upgrade (whether it’s using their upgrade or just getting another phone) your phone Verizon will put your existing number onto the new phone. You can do the same thing with an older phone as well. This can be done at the Verizon store or online. It does not cost anything to put your phone number onto your new phone as it is part of the service. However, if you got another phone from someplace or someone other than Verizon then it is a $25 fee but if you do it online through your online account (look for activate phone) then you won’t be charged. I have never been charged when switching phones online (buying through eBay, using an older phone because my current wasn’t working, etc.) and when I’ve bought new from Verizon I’ve never been charged.
