I’m with Merlineaton on this. Drain the cistern, and attach some foam/polystyrene on the inside of the thing. It is the difference in temperature warm room, cold water that causes the condensation. Minimising this will reduce the damp.

styrofoam, a lot come with it installed (looks like just glued onto the inside, stopping where the waterlevel stops, looks like it’s about 1/4″ thinck, i don’t see why you can’t do it on the one you have, you can also buy a new one, whatever is easier
