Can I bury or burn my garbage and trash in my campfire?
No. Burnable items like food leftovers or bacon grease CAN NOT be buried, discarded, or burned in an open fire. Doing any of these things will cause odors to remain in the area and be an attractant for bears to investigate. These items should be disposed of in the bear resistant dumpsters at the commercial harvester camps. Other visitors need to store attractants in a bear resistant manner until they can take their attractants home to dispose of.
