Can I urn CDs without an external CD Burner with my computer?
Do you have an internal burner at all, is it even an option (might not be, if it’s a laptop or a compact desktop)? If so go for that instead. It’ll be super cheap (in fact, you’re just as well to get a DVD burner, which will cost about as much as as a family trip to McDonalds), sits on the same interface and power line as the hard disc so it’s fast and reliable, etc. However I’d get someone to check out the specs of your computer before doing that, to make sure it’s actually up to the task of burning CDs. It sounds a bit old, it might be marginal. For starters, is it actually Windows 2000, or XP? Are you able to get hold of any information on the processor or memory? (If you right-click on My Computer, and choose Properties, you should see this).
