Can I build or place any structures or chattels on the building set back areas?
Land Use Consent Condition 11 of RM040434 requires that No building or part of any building is to be located within the building setback areas registered against the certificate of title. The legal definition of a building is contained in the Queenstown Lakes District Council Partially Operative District Plan. In general the definition of building includes decks or any other structure affixed to the ground. Chattels such as garden furniture may be placed within the building set back areas.
