Can I build a home brew THX Surround EX system with an old Pro-Logic receiver?

Since Pro-Logic decoding is used in Dolbys SA10 Surround EX decoder, why not use it at home to get Surround EX type results now?!?!?! You need a receiver or separates package that has pre-out (line level) connections for the l/r surround channels (you could also use a speaker-to-line-level converter but this method would add possible distortions/noise to the signals.) Attach these to your Pro-Logic receiver/decoder l/r inputs. Then attach the l/r outputs of your Pro-Logic receiver/decoder to your original l/r speakers. Attach the center channel output of your Pro-Logic receiver/decoder to a surround back speaker and set the Pro-Logic mode to Dolby 3 Stereo or Dolby 3 Logic mode. See http://www.kameronet.com/6.1.html for a nice diagram of a homebrew EX setup. Youre good to go to enjoy Surround EX type effects decoded from your current 5.1 soundtracks!
