Can I borrow a video from the Library to show off-campus (eg at a conference)?
The feature and non-feature video programs in the Library collection are all purchased with educational rights. Distributors may permit the use beyond the classroom if faculty or students organize these functions for an educational purpose. They may not agree to the use for advertising or if admission fees are charged. Users are advised to contact the copyright owner or holder for clarification of rights beyond the classroom setting. The Audio Visual department of the Library (2nd floor, Library or #5099) can facilitate the process by providing information on the company from which the video or film is purchased.
